Who You Are

The Distribution Operator 2 is responsible for operating a forklift, electric pallet jack, reach truck, and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stock, and count merchandise in accordance with production standards. All associates must be able to cross‑train in all core distribution functions including unloading, put‑away, picking, replenishing, loading, small parcel area, rework, returns, display building, and possess basic WMS skills.

Responsibilities
  • Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
  • Efficiently stock and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
  • Loading, unloading, moving, stocking and staging products and materials using a forklift, reach truck, walkie, or other material handling equipment.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations and MSDS standards.
  • Report quality variances.
  • Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean, orderly fashion.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Conduct operations in a manner promoting safety.
  • Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following traveler packet.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips and other fasteners.
  • May work on a line or in a cell where tasks and product may vary.
Requirements
  • High School or GED recommended.
  • Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems.
  • Knowledge of RF Scanner.
  • Able to push, pull, lift 55 LBS continuously throughout the shift.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSURE/TRAINING
  • Must pass and maintain industrial lift truck certification.

The employee is regularly required to use left and/or right hand for simple grasping, fine work, pushing/pulling. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, as well as ability to distinguish changes in shade of color.

The ability to lift, on occasion, up to 50 lbs.
