Senior Accounts Payable Assistant

Chief Industries’ Corporate Office is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant to join the Chief team. This position Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor in all areas of department responsibilities. Check, verify, and process payment for all vendor invoices .

• High School Diploma, or GED, required.
• Associate’s degree, preferred.

• Foundational knowledge of accounting practices, typically gained through a high school education supplemented by specialized business coursework.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant hands‑on experience

• Assist in processing ACH, check, and wire payments in all systems.
• Process vendor invoices, verifying all invoice entries is correct, scanning invoices.
• Maintain and process all recurring payments for all divisions.
• Assist in processing and uploading employee expense reports.
• Assist in processing and maintaining sales tax exemptions for all divisions.
• Assist in contacting vendors to add to ACH banking information.
• Assist other departments or vendors with various inquiries.
• Download P-Card transactions into all appropriate systems.
• Process accounts payable payments during the absence of the Accounts Payable Supervisor as well as being able to fill in and run the department during absences.
• Follow‑up on all problem invoices with various divisions to ensure payments are not delayed.
