ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Accountant supports the overall general accounting function and is responsible for overseeing, implementing, and maintaining accounting systems, procedures, and policies. This role ensures the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial data, and serves as a key liaison between the company, government agencies, and CPA auditors by providing required information and ensuring proper records are maintained.
- Assign, review, and audit the work of accounting staff to develop, implement, and maintain one or more generally accepted accounting systems.
- Oversee core accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, sales tax filings, cost accounting, commissions, and inventory control.
- Monitor and review records related to assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors for annual financial audits.
- Perform key accounting activities such as month-end closing, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, inventory roll‑forwards, fixed asset tracking, and margin analysis; prepare supporting schedules for financial statement preparation.
- Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger activity while preparing financial and management reports.
- Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of four years of accounting experience, including general ledger responsibilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to follow direction, self‑review work, and ensure timely follow‑up.
- Strong analytical skills and a critical, problem‑solving mindset.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Business Central and Equipsoft is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential company information with discretion and integrity.
