About the Role
King County is seeking an Administrator I to support the day-to-day operations of a wastewater treatment plant and its conveyance systems. The role provides fully proficient technical and administrative functions to support the administrative, maintenance, and financial reporting systems that keep facilities operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental standards.
What You Will Be Doing- Follow established payroll and time and labor procedures, reviewing and reconciling weekly time/labor and payroll reports, entering data, and coordinating with partners.
- Develop, prepare, maintain, and track operational and administrative information such as operations reports, permits, newsletters, presentation materials, expense reports, and directories.
- Provide high‑level administrative support to staff, including travel, training, and procurement documentation.
- Process invoices for utility, chemical, and other operational products in accordance with procurement and accounting procedures; research and compile data for information requests, including custom reports.
- Assist in the development and revisions to administrative systems, helping to monitor and track work activities.
- Five years of increasingly responsible administrative experience in an office or industrial environment.
- In‑depth knowledge of MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professional interactions.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, contract agreements, and procedures.
- Research, gather information, and prepare reports in an accurate and timely manner; reconcile errors and discrepancies.
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing a high‑volume workload with strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in reviewing and editing documents for accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
Experience utilizing Oracle EBS, Maximo, People Soft.
Work Location and ScheduleOnsite at South Treatment Plant – 1200 Monster Rd SW, Renton, WA 98057. This full‑time position is 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, and is covered under the FLSA.
