Senior Coordinator, Consultant Family Child Care

Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks a Senior Coordinator to work with Family Child Care (FCC) sites to implement FCC Head Start Performance Standards, provide technical assistance, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support to FCC staff. Duties will also include coordinating program activities and action plans, monitoring program standards, recruitment of new family childcare providers and providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
This position may also support other Early Learning Direct Service programs.

Early Learning Program Hiring Requirements
- Portable Background Check: All Early Learning Program hires must have a cleared PSESD fingerprint background check (Washington State Patrol and FBI clearance)
and a cleared Portable Background Check (PBC) before their hire date, and every three (3) years thereafter as a condition of continued employment. Applicants without a current PBC should consider completing a PBC during the application phase. Please click here for instructions, and please click here to start the process. - Required Health Documentation to be completed within 30 days of official start date for all Early Learning staff, including:
- Completed Medical Release Form
- Tuberculosis clearance (if not included on Medical Release Form)
- MMR vaccine documentation (if not included on Medical Release Form)
Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Development or Early Childhood Education (ECE), or a related field (Elementary Education, Special Education, Human Development, Child and Family Studies) and 45 ECE college credits
Professional experience mentoring, coaching, and/or providing technical assistance to early learning staff
Preferred QualificationsExperience providing group or staff training and/or teaching adult learners
Head Start, Early Head Start, ECEAP, or other state-funded preschool experience
Professional experience in teaching and caring for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children in a family childcare home
Knowledge of Head Start performance standards and/or childcare licensing Washington Administrative Codes (WACs).
