Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-semester special education teaching opportunity is designed for a licensed educator passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs in an elementary school setting. The position, based onsite in Renton, WA, offers a balanced schedule that includes direct classroom instruction and dedicated time for essential planning and collaboration.
Responsibilities- Delivering tailored instruction and interventions for a caseload of approximately 22.5 hours per week
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state guidelines
- Collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Participating in weekly planning, IEP meetings, and professional trainings during allocated non-student days
- Maintaining accurate records and monitoring student progress
- Current Washington State teaching license in special education
- Preferred experience with preschool-aged students; candidates with K‑2 elementary experience will also be considered
- Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral supports
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Renton, WA - Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM - Days without students on Wednesdays for planning and meetings
- Contract duration: ASAP through June 17, 2026
