Role SummaryThe Treasury Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Treasury Management team in business deposit product needs: attending sales calls with prospective clients, implementing and promoting those products to the current client base, and managing activities needed to meet production goals in commercial deposits, public entity deposits, and treasury management products and services. They will work closely with their Team Leader to implement sales strategies for the continued growth opportunities of our existing and new markets.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Partners with Treasury Management Officer to prepare for new client calls and identify new sales opportunities with existing clients.
- Provides product knowledge expertise during sales calls with potential and existing clients.
- Provides effective sales culture leadership for the profitable expansion of Deposit and Treasury Management relationships to support strategic growth.
- Maintains and develops a strong internal network and deepens existing treasury relationships.
- Assists in producing professional quality proposals and responds to formal RFPs.
- Delivers excellent customer service to both external clients and internal colleagues throughout the credit union.
- Network with existing public entity representatives and local centers of influence.
- Conducts internal and external training sessions on product changes and Treasury Management.
- Maintains knowledge base of current and emerging business and Treasury Management products.
- Ensures the accurate implementation and servicing of all deposit and Treasury Management relationships.
- Updates Treasury Management Officers regarding critical developments in commercial member relationships.
- Works with operations, servicing, and product support team members to ensure successful client onboarding, member satisfaction and ongoing support.
- Completes additional tasks and special projects as assigned by Team Leader.
- Provides recommendations and process improvement.
- Responds to company representatives’ inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
- Performs job duties with limited daily supervision, exercising a high level of discretion and sound judgment.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures which impact assigned responsibilities.
- Consistently displays successful communication and listening skills with peers, members, supervisor, and vendors.
- Displays leadership values such as mutual respect, honesty, trust and dignity, and acts in the best interest of the credit union; always displays solid ethics and integrity.
- Maintains and protects all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Attends ongoing BSA training to include webinars, training provided by CPAs, and obtains BSA certification.
- Adheres to policies and operates in a safe and sound manner.
- Ability to understand complex business relationships and provide options that will meet their needs.
- Ability to converse with business or municipal finance personnel.
- Ability to provide problem solving and resolutions to business members.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and respond simultaneously to multiple tasks and requests.
- Ability to work well in and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
- Effectively communicates ideas and information, both verbal and written.
- Displays and maintains courtesy, tact and diplomacy with current and potential vendors, peers, and staff.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in commercial deposit gathering and treasury management sales and service, and exposure to public entity proposals and personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance/accounting preferred.
- Treasury management training and credentials (Certified Treasury Professional [CTP] or Accredited ACH [AAP]) preferred but not required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of credit union/banking and/or treasury management sales experience in a financial environment.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and business software.
- Some travel required to develop markets, attend credit union training.
