HealthPoint is excited to welcome Family Nurse Practitioners to our Nurse Practitioner Residency Program. The program begins September 15th, 2025.It isa two year contract which consists of our residency program for year one, followed by a year of full-time practice.
The Nurse Practitioner Residency program is designed to train new nurse practitioners that are committed to working with diverse, and underserved populations. Our high-quality model of care is tailored to our complex community health center setting, creating nurse practitioners that are confident, skilled primary care providers who will successfully transition to sustainable and independent practice in community health.
HealthPoint is a Federally Qualified Health Center with deep roots in the communities we serve. We are seeking applicants dedicated to working with diverse, multicultural, and underserved populations throughout their careers.
Annual salary: $99,721.30, second year salary: $ annually

Family Nurse Practitioner Residents will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan with the additional training and support of the residency program, to reach the goal of successfully transitioning to confident and competent independent practice.
Opportunities that you will participate in- Provide comprehensive primary care services for all ages in a FQHC setting with the additional supervision and support of the residency program faculty and staff.
- See patients from one’s own schedule with the support of a preceptor during Continuity Clinic.
- See patients from another provider’s schedule during Partnered Clinic.
- Participate in Specialty Rotations to the degree appropriate for the setting.
- Participate in educational programs, sustainability sessions, didactics, meetings, and trainings as required.
- Complete an Independent Project to improve the health of our patients or healthcare system.
- Participate in procedure trainings and perform procedures in accordance with scope of practice and HealthPoint’s privileging policy.
- Participate in a shared call system with other providers.
- Provide care consistent with evidence-based medicine.
- Consult with clinic providers, specialists, or other health care professionals as appropriate.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient records and superbills.
- Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery, including the ability to integrate values of diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, respect, compassion, excellence and stewardship into appropriate programs and services.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required. Must have graduated within 18 months of the program start date. No experience required.
- Current Washington State licensure as Registered Nurse and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner by start of the program.
- Current DEA and Washington controlled substance license by start of program.
- Credentialed as a Family Nurse Practitioner by start of the program.
- Must be board certified prior to start of program.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record determined by HealthPoint’s insurance carrier.
