Health Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance in an online environment, managing the learning process and focusing on students’ individual needs. They monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system, work closely with students and parents/learning coaches, and occasionally travel to state testing events or other school functions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
- Differentiates instruction based on student mastery levels.
- Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from the principal and coach.
- Maintain grade book, make placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators to concerns about student performance.
- Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families, regularly communicating with students and learning coaches/parents.
- Support learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional issues and troubleshoot in a virtual classroom.
- Travel up to 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, or other school‑required activities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and an active state teaching license.
- Ability to clear a required background check.
Required Qualifications
- Collaborate with other teachers to analyze and use student data for instructional decisions.
- Receptive to coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
- Adapt to change and new technologies to ensure student success.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
- Experience teaching with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in using technology.
- Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick‑and‑mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
The hourly wage is estimated at $20–$25 per hour
