We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will foster a love for learning, promote social and emotional development, and encourage creativity through play-based activities.

Pay Range

Base pay: $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr (Reston Children’s Center provided range). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of age‑appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes exploration and learning.
  • Engage children in hands‑on activities, storytelling, and interactive play to enhance their cognitive and social skills.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting developmental milestones and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, needs, and behavior.
  • Work closely with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all children, adhering to school policies and state regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma in addition to a current CDA.
  • Preschool CDA preferred.
  • Previous experience working with preschool‑aged children is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Candidate must pass all required state and federal background checks to be eligible for hire.
