This role supports the Ports and Maritime team in Hampton Roads, delivering complex maritime infrastructure development and coastal resilience projects from planning through construction, with exposure to our global portfolio.

• Plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product and staff safety.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, scientists, and subject matter experts to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage project financials, delivery, and client relationships; contribute to growth of Jacobs’ Ports and Maritime portfolio in the region and beyond.
• Work with the Sales team on pursuits and delivery of waterfront projects.
• Travel as needed; collaborate in-person with the Ports and Maritime team and clients in the Virginia Beach area; relocation assistance may be provided.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or related Engineering
• At least 7 years of experience in the delivery and/or management of waterfront infrastructure projects
• Experience in design or design management of waterfront projects or facilities
• Ability to work with a team of local and remote multi-disciplinary engineers and subject matter experts
• Ability to manage the successful delivery of contract documents, design basis, technical specifications, and other client deliverables
• Experience in preparing technical and cost proposals to deliver winning proposals
• Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders

• Ideally, you’ll also have
• Master’s degree in Engineering

Potential locations include Virginia Beach, VA;
Richmond or Reston, VA;
Hampton, VA;
Baltimore, MD; or Silver Spring, MD. The role involves significant in-person collaboration with the local Ports and Maritime team and clients in the Virginia Beach area. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
