We are actively hiring a Field Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph support for a new contract recently awarded in Reston, VA
. The Field Engineer/Technician will provide technical expertise for various point‑of‑entry systems and must have 15 years’ specific experience in the intelligence community providing work execution and expertise specific to this functional role.
Selected candidate will be responsible for systems installation, upgrades, refreshes, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, asset inventory and other field‑related sustainment and logistical work. Responsibilities include participating in the test and evaluation of pending software and hardware upgrades at the warehouse laboratory and test bed, performing constructability and maintainability design reviews, and being strategically located near the warehouse lab/test bed for continuous training, system testing, field deployment planning, etc.
The role deploys to POE sites worldwide as needed to perform field support work, support deployment planning operations, conduct site surveys collecting required data (including electrical and HVAC requirements) to successfully plan and execute system deployment, and perform both software and hardware maintenance and system repair as well as infrastructure (electrical systems, HVAC, generators, etc.) installation and sustainment. Additional duties include preventive maintenance, checks, and services (PMCS), inspection and trend‑failure analysis, fault isolation, repair, calibration, and alignment of mission systems for optimal performance, root cause analysis (RCA) of failed components, incorporation of findings into future maintenance procedures to reduce unplanned failure and increase system availability, failure‑mode effects, criticality analysis (FMECA), and predictive inspections using advanced technologies such as thermography and ultrasonics to identify impending component failure prior to system failure.
All system installation, maintenance, and repair are executed using an approved computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) which tracks system readiness, maintenance events, failures, and other critical data. The candidate will also perform maintenance and user training while on site in coordination with training personnel, conduct asset inventory on site, and provide that data to asset inventory management staff.
