In this role, you will originate and check structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, material requisitions. Reviews and coordinates technical documents with/from other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction. Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues. Participate in technical meetings and perform intra‑discipline coordination. We currently have multiple Structural Engineer positions available on our Nuclear, Security & Environmental projects.

• Plans structural layout, prepares detailed structural design and layout drawings for small structures, portions of major buildings, etc.
• Ensures designs are compliant with local and national regulations.
• Designs structures using knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering.
• Determines the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements.
• Originates structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
• Review customer & vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution.
• Participates in reviews and recommends approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements.
• Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations.

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering and 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of education, 9-12 years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
• Must have completed a minimum of 4 years of active‑duty military service in the United States Armed Forces, with an honorable discharge.
• Must be able to complete and pass a pre‑employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
