Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you must have solid experience in electrical systems and layout design. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), promoting our leadership, quality, and safety values, to external partners including vendors, construction companies, and other subcontractors, proven problem-solving abilities, a can‑do attitude, and a commitment to quality.

The candidate will work with electrical engineers, designers, and other technical disciplines in a team environment

Individual must have extensive understanding of all engineering discipline drawings and electrical discipline wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, 1‑line and 3‑line drawings, schematics, and be able to size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations. Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for the preparation of electrical design documents, specifications, material requisitions and system descriptions related to design tasks.

Must be a self‑starter and capable of independent creative design, with direction, using Bechtel and industry proven concepts, and procedures.

Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria for a small size project or assignment in support of a global business unit or staff group to include the preparation of original designs layouts, details, drawings and specifications.

Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).

Coordinates electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.

Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.

Completes electrical documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
