In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for proposals or contracts. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives.
You will be instrumental in continuing to grow the Renewables & Clean Energy business. The Core Renewables team will be led out of Bechtel’s Reston office. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives.
The position on the project will start assignment in Reston, VA prior to be assigned to various Bechtel renewable project locations. In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for proposals or contracts. #LI-ML1
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership
Major Responsibilities:- Assists in schedule baseline preparation and initial project setup
- Performs schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring activities, as directed
- Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
- Assists in the development and support of project trend program
- Assists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
- Gathers and verifies data on schedule, work force, and quantities to update and status discipline or specialty progress and performance reports
- Assists with developing and maintaining scope-specific schedules for easy integration into the total project plan following established project procedures/practices
- Assists with developing discipline level work logics in support of overall project schedule
- Assists with reporting progress relative to established milestones for total project or major portions of the project
- Assists the Project Risk Specialist or Project Risk Manager in the preparation of risk analysis recommendations, reports, metrics, and presentations
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Skills:
Construction and/or scheduling experience involving both subcontracted and direct-hire construction labor.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel Experience and demonstrated skill in project cost and schedule analysis.
Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for Project Controls activities.
Experience working with or directly supporting a project development organization.
Strong multi-tasking, as work is performed across a portfolio of projects simultaneously and has significant interaction with stakeholders, subcontractors, OEMs, and vendors as needed.
Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated skill in presenting scheduling information to management/clients.
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
