ResponsibilitiesNETWORK ARCHITECT III
- Responsible for the design, implementation and evolution of the network and supporting systems
- Remains informed of new technical developments and trends in the industry
- Makes recommendations to management on desirable network solutions and opportunities
- Researches, evaluates and documents new products and tools
- Continually plans for the expansion of networks
- Regularly interacts with vendors for the purposes of investigating new equipment and services
- Serves as a troubleshooter on complex network problems
- Acts as a high level escalation point for Network Engineers
- Performs complex engineering, design, implementation and maintenance tasks on Unified Communications Systems
- Researches, evaluates and approves hardware and software solutions for complex problems and solutions
- Develops and reviews complex implementation plans for network/system upgrades
- Designs and documents new network elements and provides guidance to junior staff members
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Skillset/work experience equivalence to Cisco CCNP Collaboration with a focus on Design and Planning, and a minimum of 7 years of experience working within the IT field – with a focus in UC delivery mechanisms.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BY LEVEL:
- III: 4 – 9 Years
PREFERRED
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Cisco CCNP preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting for long periods
- Standing for long periods
- Ambulate throughout an office
- Ambulate between several buildings
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
- Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
- Travel by land or air transportation 25%
