This position is for a Systems Engineer (SE) to execute systems engineering activities including requirements management, organization, validation, and verification of complex design requirements within a model‑based systems engineering environment for various clients. The SE plays a critical role in the delivery of the Requirements Management and Model-Based Systems Engineering program for Bechtel work products and designs, as well as coordination of the scope and integration of work with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem‑solving abilities, a can‑do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs.

This position is designated as part‑time telework per our global telework policy and requires at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in‑person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor in consultation with functional or project leadership.

• BS degree in Engineering (Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline) from an accredited university, with at least 2–5 years of relevant experience, or a related master’s degree.

• Must have the right to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Must be able to complete a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
• International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP), or ability to obtain within 12 months.

• Understand systems engineering principles and methods, requirements management principles and methods.
• Experience working with systems engineering tools such as IBM® Rational DOORS® or Innoslate by Spec Innovations on a project.
• Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards and their influence on design.

• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering.
• Experience in Model‑Based Systems Engineering.
• U.S. Professional Engineering License.
• International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification.
• Familiarity with nuclear safety and requirements in design.
• Experience working on a large, complex EPC contract.
• Previous experience on DOE or DOD projects.
• Experience with Nuclear Power Plant Design.
