Overview

Full‑time associate responsible for preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Starbucks Standards. Also provides customer service, cleans work areas, unloads and reloads stock, and re‑loads salvage products.

Interpersonal – Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to train and collaborate with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

High school diploma, GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language – Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information to customers and other associates who speak only English.

Math – Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement.

Reasoning – Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; handle problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications – Complete company training (new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge). Must be IST or AST certified.

Stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 50 pounds) and reach 6‑72 inches. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.

Moderate environment; exposed to hot, cold, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level typically moderate to loud.

• Pay Transparency:
  Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $15.25/hour and $22.50/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.
