Tax Accountant

NVR, Inc. is seeking an on‑site Tax Accountant in Reston, VA. The Tax team ensures compliance and supports strategic financial initiatives that drive our business forward. As a Tax Accountant
, you will support non‑income and income tax compliance and reporting, including Sales & Use tax, Personal Property tax, Business Licenses, Annual Reports, and Income tax filings. You’ll assist with audits, tax planning, and process improvements to reduce risk and cost.

• Prepare and file state and local tax returns and maintain compliance calendars.
• Monitor tax rate changes and review invoices for proper tax treatment.
• Respond to vendor requests for exemption certificates.
• Compile documentation and participate in audits.
• Assist with tax budgets, variance analysis, and reserve reconciliations.
• Recommend process improvements and support ad‑hoc tax projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of tax compliance or related accounting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to work on‑site at our Reston, VA corporate office.
