We have an exciting opportunity for a Documentation Specialist in our Reston, VA corporate headquarters.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college, university, or experience equivalent
- Titling, Lien Perfection, Equipment Finance, or Loan Origination knowledge is a plus
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to business partners and borrowers.
- Compose loan documents, review funding packages, file UCCs and work with internal departments to ensure a smooth process throughout the life cycle of the agreement.
- Utilize judgment to escalate any potential risk discovered during the funding process.
- Prioritize a fluctuating workload to meet deadlines.
- Resolve complex issues, identify process improvement opportunities, and work with management to implement changes.
- Work with our technology groups to correct issues or improve functionality, including testing of system changes.
- Review imperative customer information for accuracy across multiple inputs, flag for fraud, and problem‑solve to fund secured loans.
- Organize and create documentation using Microsoft Office, File Explorer, Adobe, and our internal databases.
- Manage and organize both physical and electronic notes and records for your own usage.
- Understand state compliance requirements related to automobiles, vehicular equipment, financial disclosures, and rate regulations.
- Organize multiple loan cases and speak details on open cases at any moment.
- Ability to multi‑task/organize work and work independently with little supervision.
- Analytical thinking about data received with high attention to detail.
- Handle escalated issues and devise solutions for resolution, utilizing third‑party vendors, customers, team members, and brokers while maintaining relationships.
- Answer calls and provide quick, accurate responses with little preparation time.
- Learn quickly and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Function effectively as part of a group, sometimes passing work back and forth to achieve a common goal.
- Flexibility in prioritizing workload and adapting to new tasks suddenly.
- Communicate to all levels—including credit associates, titling associates, finance associates, brokers, upper management, and customers—effectively.
- Strong drive to achieve goals and promote the company’s values.
- Act proactively on follow‑up and workload time permitting.
- Takes ownership and follows up on issues.
- Work with a team spread across the country via Teams, e‑mail, Zoom, and more.
- Work with time constraints to reach a common deadline of funding cut‑off time.
- Clearly communicate with other associates in a positive manner about errors and prevention strategies.
