Overview
Front Desk Agent – Hotel at Crescent Hotels & Resorts located in Reston, VA. The role is a full‑time entry level position responsible for daily guest service operations at JW Marriott Reston Station, a 28‑story luxury property offering 247 rooms, extensive meeting space and premium residential amenities.
Responsibilities- Greet guests, complete registration, input and review guest information, code electronic keys, promote marketing programs and provide a welcome packet.
- Assist guests with check‑out, account for rooms and services, use the point‑of‑sale system, handle money, process credit and debit cards, accept various forms of payment, and convert foreign currency.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, local area and answer guest inquiries.
- Use up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize occupancy.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolve issues in a timely, friendly manner, and field guest complaints, researching and negotiating solutions for guest satisfaction.
- Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests.
- Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with guests.
- Self‑starting personality with an even disposition.
- Ability to meet standards of appearance and professional grooming.
- Operates up to 30 lbs. continuously through a crowded area and will help coworkers as needed.
- Customer Satisfaction – Maintain professionalism; treat guests and associates with courtesy and respect.
- Work Habits – Exceed hotel standards for procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance; adapt to change, learn new skills, and seek help when needed.
- Safety & Security – Adhere to hotel security policies; maintain key control, lift heavy objects responsibly, use chemicals safely, and report hazards promptly.
