Sr Data Engineer - Data Intelligence (Abinitio Developer)

Job Description: The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for orchestrating, deploying, maintaining, and scaling cloud or on‑premises infrastructure targeted at big data and platform data management (Relational and No

SQL, distributed and converged). The role focuses on developing solutions that transform the company’s platforms, delivering data‑driven insights and value.

• Work with Business Analysts and Product teams to gather data requirements.
• Design and build AbInitio data graphs and pipelines to extract data from various databases, flat files, and message queues.
• Transform data to create a consumable data layer for application uses.
• Support data pipelines with bug fixes and enhancements.
• Document technical design and operational runbooks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, predominantly in Data Integration/ Data Warehouse.
• 5+ years of ETL design and development with AbInitio.
• 1–2 years of Hadoop platform experience, preferably Cloudera.
• Experience with ABInitio CDC (Change Data Capture).
• Working knowledge of HDFS, Hive, Impala, and related Hadoop technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS services (nice to have).
• Strong SQL skills; ability to write performant queries.
• Understanding of OLTP and OLAP data models and data warehouse fundamentals.
• High code quality and automated testing practices; reusable component development.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Independent work ethic and capacity to support junior developers.
• Java development experience is a plus.
• Agile development practices knowledge required.
