The Business Systems Analyst, Service Now
, will support and build enhancements within the company’s Service Now platform, as well as any homegrown inventory, audit, and compliance portfolio to provide functional & technical support to internal business customers.

• As part of our client’s MIS team, you’ll play a hands‑on role shaping and optimizing the company’s Service Now platform and related systems that support audit, compliance, and inventory operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving systems, and collaborating across teams to deliver smarter, faster solutions.
• Design and deliver solutions within the Service Now platform (mainly Asset Management) — from gathering requirements and managing backlogs to testing and deploying enhancements and integrations.
• Collaborate across teams and technologies, working with internal stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to integrate COTS/SaaS solutions and drive continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of discovery and integration infrastructure (Service Now, UCMDB, Flexera), managing schedules, mid‑servers, credentials, and patterns to ensure system health and data accuracy.
• Apply analytical and architectural thinking to design scalable, secure, and compliant systems that connect seamlessly with Verisign’s broader technology ecosystem.
• Ensure quality and maintainability through well‑documented processes, strong testing practices, and concise technical communication with senior management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, evolving our application platform to meet future growth, security, and operational needs.

We’re looking for an articulate problem solver who thrives on optimizing systems and driving impact. The ideal candidate brings a blend of Service Now technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and curiosity.

• 8+ years of IT experience (or 6+ with a master’s) with a strong background in Service Now modules as an Analyst.
• Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM)/ Hardware Asset Management (HAM) / IT Asset Management (ITAM) best practices for both on‑prem and SaaS environments. Exposure to ITOM preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, very articulate to gather requirements and present solution designs.
• Ability to prioritize work and complete projects quickly.
• Proficiency with unit testing and integration testing.
• Knowledge of Service Now configuration (adding fields, list view items, data policies)
• Familiarity with tools like USU, SNOW License Manager, or HP Asset Manager is a plus.
• Some working knowledge of RESTful web services, Linux, scripting, and technical audit platforms; strong OS and Web UI understanding as an analyst would be helpful.
• Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies (ideally using Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint) and experience across the full system life cycle.
• Some familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMware, AIX, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and communication skills—able to translate complex issues into actionable solutions.
• Prior work in a SOX environment is highly desirable.
• Certifications in Service Now administration is preferred

Must currently reside within the USA and live within a reasonable commute to Reston VA (70 mi) to work a hybrid schedule or be willing to relocate to the area with company assistance upon joining.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or Information Technology or a related field
