ALTERNATE EXPERIENCEGeneral comment on degrees:
Most contracts allow additional experience (4-5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit.
- Design and develop GIS software applications
- Integrate geospatial data into applications
- Develop and optimize spatial data algorithms
- Collaborate with teams to define project requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve GIS application issues
- Ensure GIS software meets performance and scalability requirements
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Strong knowledge of spatial data formats (e.g., Shape files, GeoJSON)
- Experience with geospatial libraries and APIs (e.g., GDAL, OGR)
- Familiarity with spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Spatialite)
- Understanding of mapping technologies and geospatial visualization
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages for geospatial analysis
- Experience with cloud-based GIS platforms
- Familiarity with remote sensing data and analysis
- Knowledge of geospatial data processing techniques (e.g., raster analysis)
- Understanding of geospatial data accuracy and validation
- Proficiency in GIS data modeling and geodatabase design
- Familiarity with GIS mobile applications and development
