This position is designated as work‑from‑home.

Oversees the SQL Database platform and possesses extensive experience and knowledge in:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Power Shell, Azure CLI, or other relevant tools to streamline administrative tasks.
• Implement and enforce security best practices for Azure databases.
• Provision and configure Azure database services, including SQL Database, SQL MI, Azure Database for Postgre
  
  SQL, etc.
• Implement and manage database backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
• Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Microsoft SQL Server (Knowledge of other database platforms preferred)
• SQL Server Availability Architecture, Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clusters, Replication, Mirroring, Disaster Recovery
• Process improvement, automation, monitoring and programming/scripting languages
• Cloud Architecture, Cloud Technologies, Cloud Services, Infrastructure as Code (Azure experience with Terraform preferred)
• Resource management and Service level agreements
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• 24x7 operations

• Proven experience as a database administrator, with a focus on Azure cloud databases.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Power Shell, Azure CLI).
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, object‑oriented technology, data warehousing, and relational database engines.
• Advanced proficiency in analytical, project planning, negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral).

Education & Experience:

>7 years of experience as a Data Architect, and a Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, Master's Degree preferred.
