What will you be doing?
The IT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, management, and security of the hotel’s technology systems, infrastructure, and data. This role ensures the smooth operation of property management systems, guest technology services, and back-office applications to support hotel operations, guest satisfaction, and compliance with Marriott International standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily IT operations, including property management system (PMS), point of sale (POS), back-office systems, and guest internet services.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott International IT policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage hotel networks, servers, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, hardware, and software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide timely support to associates and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize business disruption.
- Maintain data security, backups, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard hotel and guest information.
- Partner with Marriott corporate IT teams to implement new systems, upgrades, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships and service agreements related to IT hardware, software, and support contracts.
- Train associates on technology tools and systems to improve productivity and guest service.
- Monitor IT budget, track expenses, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Stay current with emerging hospitality technology trends to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of IT management or supervisory experience, preferably in a hospitality or service environment.
- Strong knowledge of hotel systems (PMS, POS, CRM, back-office, Microsoft Office, networking, servers, and cloud solutions).
- Experience managing cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
