Dev Sec Ops Engineer - 1019-A with Security Clearance
Join Data Machines as a Dev Sec Ops Engineer to support a scalable compute environment that supports various software development, simulation, and big data requirements. The role is located at Reston, VA and requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities- Support continuous operation and monitoring of application services within a targeted deployment environment.
- Onboard software, hardware, and security controls in a Dev Sec Ops manner.
- Manage platform systems including Kubernetes clusters, dedicated virtual machines, and bare-metal instances.
- Develop and implement upgrades and automation throughout the environments.
- Automate security practices and integrate them into the development and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with external teams and partners to integrate Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines covering all software lifecycle phases and implement quality gates.
- Implement robust code repository management strategies including version control, branching, and merging processes.
- Utilize configuration management tools to track and manage changes across environments and components.
- Maintain automated build processes and integrate static code analysis and continuous inspection. Integrate automated testing (unit, integration, functional) into the pipeline to ensure high code quality and security.
- Continuously refine and update security measures as part of operational monitoring and response.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Previous experience providing user support in face-to-face Tier 1 and Tier 2 environments.
- Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
- DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CYSA+).
- Experience with Service Now or a similar ticketing system.
- Comfortable with multiple communication channels to assist users.
- Experience working with FreeIPA and related services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS).
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocols and processes.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a changing environment.
- Experience providing user support in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment with changing requirements.
- Proficiency in scripted automation solutions for support tasks.
- Willingness to expand technical knowledge into new fields and technologies.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
Reston, VA | Full-time, onsite (partner location). Compensation $85,000.00 - $95,000.00. The position is contingent upon award of contract.
