Responsibilities- Act as a key business advisor and create a center of excellence around cloud application development technologies, including hiring, onboarding, and managing both full-time employees and contingent workforce.
- Help establish processes to drive the Service Delivery App Dev strategy in support of the business.
- Support pre-sales Statement of Work (SoW) activities and serve as the primary contact with regional teams for data-related needs.
- Manage processes to create reusable artifacts for the public sector business.
- Work with other service delivery teams to establish global processes for compliance or private cloud solutions.
- Present technical materials effectively to various stakeholder groups.
- Engage effectively with executives of large enterprises on technical and non-technical matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in system design or programming (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
- 6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting and managing internal/external partners or customers.
- Active TS/SCI US Government security clearance with polygraph.
- Experience translating business requirements into cloud solutions.
- Experience collaborating with partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers.
- Experience migrating applications to public cloud providers like Google Cloud Platform.
- Ability to engage with enterprise executives on technical and non-technical matters.
As a Strategic Cloud Engineer supporting the Public Sector, you will ensure customers maximize value from Google Cloud Platform investments, leveraging your technical expertise and customer service skills to create an exceptional experience and empower success.
This role focuses on ensuring quality customer engagements and building relationships with stakeholders to meet technical and business objectives. Google Public Sector helps government and education institutions accelerate digital transformation, with a salary range of $147,000-$216,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary details depend on role, level, location, skills, experience, and education.
