Data Center Operations Manager, Global Server Operations

Google's Hardware Operations team monitors state‑of‑the‑art physical infrastructure behind Google's search technology. As a Data Center Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Data Center Technicians, ensuring quality installation of server hardware and components, and leading complex installations and troubleshooting.

• Oversee the day‑to‑day management of teams within data center operations.
• Collaborate to identify and resolve problems and create solutions for the global computing and network architecture.
• Manage the implementation of projects within the team, effectively communicate business priorities and facilitate hands‑off operations to shift leads.
• Hire, coach, and develop a team while achieving business goals and demonstrating the ability to implement and drive a safety culture at the site, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Ensure data center‑related priorities align with company objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
• 2 years of experience managing technical teams, vendor or contract management and delivery.
• Ability to work non‑standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and shift‑based schedules as required.

• Experience leading and managing projects from initiation to completion and directing operations management initiatives.
• Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure, network, compute architecture, life‑cycle, and Linux/Unix system administration.
• Experience initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment.
• Experience developing network architecture.
• Ability to lead and improve Environmental Health and Safety initiatives.

US base salary range $105,000-$151,000 plus bonus, equity and benefits. Compensation details reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. For details on benefits, see Google Benefits.
