Overview
Data Center Technician (JoinOCI-Ns2) s role focuses on the Data Center infrastructure, acting as the technical liaison between technology teams and the Data Center environment. You will troubleshoot, monitor, document technologies you support, and contribute to process improvements and automation.
Responsibilities- Understand the design and functionality of the Data Centers within your assigned region.
- Provide audits for power and mechanical capacity or upgrades.
- Work with internal teams to troubleshoot problems and conduct
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CA) for design related problems. - Coordinate with local colocation companies to understand and align site utility requirements.
- Provide after-hours support as needed.
- Test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical/mechanical systems with project teams/colocation partners.
- Support Operations including failure mode analysis, maintenance, troubleshooting, best practices, and operating procedure reviews.
- Maintain all technical documentation regarding corporate data centers, including procedures for operations. Collaborate with regional leaders to manage projects and improve reliability and efficiency of data center infrastructure.
- Participate in operational reviews to identify and resolve reliability concerns.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert resources to identify and resolve resiliency and availability risks globally.
- Oversee issue intake, evaluation, and resolution for data center builds with quality improvement in mind.
- Interface with internal data center design teams, server hardware teams, and safety teams to promote standards and reliability.
- Be recognized as a technical expert within the group and across teams; propose creative, practical solutions.
- Note:

- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Data Center infrastructure Operations and server administration in mid-sized environments (200–1000+ servers)
- 3–8 years in incident management with focus on incident resolution and lessons learned
- Demonstrated expertise in two or more areas:
Power capacity allocation, incident management, systems administration (Linux/Windows), networking (DNS, TCP/IP) - Solid understanding of data center design, commissioning, and operations best practices; ability to drive process improvements
- Strong communication skills, process adherence, and the ability to work independently
- Experience supporting large enterprise customers in an operations environment
