Red Hat OpenShift Platform Engineer

Inadev is seeking an experienced Red Hat Open Shift Platform Engineer to engineer, operate, secure, automate, and maintain the Red Hat Open Shift Platform as a Service (PaaS) supporting the SEC’s mission-critical Legacy EDGAR environment. The engineer will provide a reliable, secure, highly available, and automated platform that enables application teams to consistently deploy and operate containerized applications. The role includes Open Shift platform engineering, automation, Dev Sec Ops  integration, monitoring, security, lifecycle management, application onboarding, and production support.

• Engineer, administer, and maintain enterprise Red Hat Open Shift/Kubernetes PaaS environments.
• Provide standardized, reusable platform services for application deployment and operations.
• Manage Open Shift clusters, Operators, projects/name spaces, containers, networking, routes, storage, security, certificates, and resource configurations.
• Automate platform provisioning, configuration, maintenance, validation, and recovery using Ansible, Bash, Python, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Integrate Open Shift with CI/CD and Dev Sec Ops  pipelines, container registries, source control, and deployment processes.
• Support application onboarding, deployments, configuration, troubleshooting, and runtime performance.
• Monitor platform availability, capacity, performance, health, logging, and resource utilization.
• Perform platform patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, configuration management, and lifecycle management.
• Implement platform security controls consistent with applicable NIST, FISMA, Zero Trust, and SEC security requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across Open Shift, Linux, containers, networking, storage, middleware, and application layers.
• Support backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and continuity-of-operations activities.
• Develop and maintain platform architecture documentation, configuration baselines, runbooks, SOPs, and recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with development, Dev Sec Ops , infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and Red Hat technical resources.

• 8+ years of platform, infrastructure, Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops , Linux, or systems engineering experience.
• 5+ years hands-on Red Hat Open Shift/Kubernetes experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience implementing and supporting Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of Open Shift, Kubernetes, RHEL, containers, Operators, networking, storage, RBAC, monitoring, and logging.
• Experience with Ansible / Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and infrastructure automation.
