We are actively hiring a Dari/Pashto Linguist to join our team in Reston, VA. You will support a government agency with translation, transcription, and interpretation services.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Preference for candidates with higher security clearances, but all levels are considered.
• Experience in interpretation and translation between source and target languages.
• Proficiency in transcription into English and target language.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint.
• Must pass an English test with a score of 80% or above.
• Must pass language testing at senior level or higher.

• Excellent English written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience with U.S. Immigration is highly desired.
• Ability to monitor media and identify relevant content.
• Skill in summarizing and gisting using linguistic or cultural expertise.
• Experience with Translation Related Services (TRS), blogging, and subject matter expertise in counter terrorism, cyber, and sponsor operations.
• Ability to type in required languages in real-time across various communication platforms.
• Comfort with casual, informal conversations with native speakers.
