Location: Reston, VA (4–5 days/week in office)
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Compensation: Up to $175K base (based on experience) + 5–10% performance bonus
Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required

The organization combines the responsiveness of a small business with the complexity of federal contracting. With a growing portfolio and evolving operational needs, the company is expanding its contracts function to support continued growth and modernization.
The OpportunityThis newly created role is designed to centralize and elevate the contracts function. The Contracts Manager will own the full contract lifecycle across federal engagements, working closely with delivery teams, operations, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and manage federal and commercial contracts, NDAs, consulting agreements, and subcontractor arrangements.
- Track contract milestones, ensure compliance, and support process development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with program managers, finance, and legal teams.
- Lead contract operations and support strategic initiatives such as agreement refreshes and naming conventions.
- 7+ years of contracts experience in federal or commercial environments.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition processes.
- Experience with firm‑fixed price contracts (no cost‑reimbursable work).
- Comfortable in a high‑velocity, hands‑on environment—ideally from a small or mid‑sized company.
- Certifications such as CFCM, CCCM, or MCMA are preferred.
- Background in military or defense contracting is a plus.
- Technically savvy, self‑starter, and highly organized.
- Reports directly to the COO.
- No direct reports initially, but high visibility across the organization.
- Works closely with six Program Managers, a Commercial Contracts Manager, and operations staff.
- Office‑centric culture with flexibility; leadership is accessible and collaborative.
