Overview
DecisionPoint is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee daily operations for multiple Federal projects across both prime and subcontract environments. This individual will manage diverse teams (up to 50 personnel), ensure contractual compliance, and drive operational excellence while supporting corporate growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
This role is on a hybrid telecommute model. Required to be in the Reston Office at least 2 days a week.
Duties & Responsibilities- Program Leadership & Delivery
- Direct and coordinate several concurrent Federal programs, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements, performance objectives, and quality standards.
- Oversee integrated schedules, deliverables, and milestones across multiple task orders.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple clients (Prime and Sub), fostering strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular status meetings and provide executive-level reporting.
- Team Management
- Lead independent project teams, set clear performance expectations, and maintain high morale.
- Address personnel issues promptly and ensure compliance with HR and contractual guidelines.
- Financial Oversight
- Monitor program financials, including budgets, forecasts, and burn rates, aligning with corporate goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Growth & Business Development
- Support corporate growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and participating in proposal development.
- Collaborate with capture and proposal teams to shape winning strategies.
- Recruiting & Staffing
- Partner with recruiting to fill program positions quickly and effectively.
- Ensure staffing plans meet contract requirements and maintain workforce readiness.
- Compliance & Acquisition Expertise
- Maintain a solid understanding of Federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) and procurement processes.
- Ensure programs comply with all security, quality, and audit requirements.
- Active Secret clearance preferred; ability to obtain and maintain clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, IT or related field preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of project/program management experience on Federal or DoD contracts.
- Certifications:
- PMP certification preferred.
- ITIL or other relevant certifications a plus.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to brief executives and clients.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated success in client engagement and team leadership.
- Financial acumen with experience in program budgeting and forecasting.
