Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Brand & Sentiment Analyst (Journeyman) to support Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP) brand management and outreach efforts under the MODES III contract. This role supports Task 2 Outreach and Engagement services by measuring and analyzing brand perception, trust, credibility, and sentiment across audiences and communication channels.

The Brand & Sentiment Analyst identifies emerging reputation risks and provides data informed insights to support brand management, messaging alignment, and proactive communications decision making. This position plays a key role in strengthening MC&FP brand consistency, credibility, and audience trust.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Brand & Sentiment Analyst (Journeyman) will:

  • Measure and analyze brand perception, trust, credibility, and sentiment across MC&FP audiences and channels.
  • Monitor sentiment trends across digital platforms, engagement activities, and communication outputs.
  • Identify emerging reputation risks, narrative shifts, and sentiment drivers.
  • Assess alignment between messaging strategies and audience perception.
  • Provide actionable insights to support brand management and messaging refinement.
  • Collaborate with communications, stakeholder engagement, and analytics teams to integrate sentiment insights into planning.
  • Support development of brand and sentiment analysis reports, summaries, and briefings.
  • Track sentiment metrics and qualitative indicators over time to identify trends and inflection points.
  • Support dashboards and reporting that visualize brand health and sentiment indicators.
  • Ensure analysis methodologies and documentation are consistent and repeatable.
  • Support continuous improvement of brand measurement and sentiment analysis approaches.
Qualifications

Clearance Requirement:
Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust from any federal agency.

Education (Required):
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Behavioral Science, Sociology, or a related field.

Experience (Required):

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience conducting brand analysis, sentiment analysis, or audience perception research.
  • Experience analyzing trust, credibility, and reputation indicators across audiences.
  • Experience supporting communications, outreach, or brand management programs.
  • Experience supporting federal or public‑sector initiatives preferred.

Technical Knowledge –

Required:

  • Experience with brand perception and sentiment analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative indicators into clear insightsli>
  • Proficiency with collaboration platforms, reporting tools, and documentation workflows.
  • Strong analytical writing skills for narrative and executive reporting.

Preferred:

  • Experience with social listening or sentiment analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding or visualization tools.
  • Experience supporting large-scale public outreach or communications programs.

Certifications:

Required:

None. Preferred:
Certifications in marketing analytics, communications analytics, or public relations.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to identify risks, trends, and opportunities from sentiment data.
  • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent analysis efforts.
