Registered Nurse Infusion Services PRN
Reston Hospital Center (part of HCA Healthcare) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide PRN infusion services. The RN will collaborate with physicians, infusion technicians and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and accurate medication delivery.

- Prepare and administer intravenous medications and fluids according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs, fluid status and medication reactions and document findings in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, pharmacists, infusion technicians and other nurses, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assist in the setup and operation of infusion pumps and other equipment necessary for medication delivery.
- Educate patients and families about medication regimens, infusion therapy and potential side effects.
- Assist the Chief Therapist/Dosimetrist with administrative functions as necessary.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of the assigned unit, department, and institution.
- Support the safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy, coordinating care with radiation oncologists, physicists and other radiation therapists.
- Provide liaison services between disciplines as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or RN license with active RN license in the state of Virginia.
- Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable for this position.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Prior infusion experience is preferred.
- Availability for PRN shifts Monday to Friday (specific shift times will be provided).
