• Maintain proper inventory levels and keep waste/shrink low.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Establish performance goals and empower associates to exceed targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates, participate in performance appraisal process.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Provide a welcoming environment and answer customer questions.
• Inform customers of frozen food specials and promotions.
• Develop and implement department business plan to achieve desired results.
• Execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and address discrepancies.
• Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs.
• Train associates on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs, report unsafe conditions and incidents.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Extensive retail background with prior management experience related to retail operations.
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of employment laws and workplace practices.
• Strong business and financial knowledge, including profit and loss statements.
• Ability to identify needs, problems, and opportunities, and develop short and long‑term plans.
• Basic math and accounting skills; computer proficiency.
• Military‑grade time management: stand and walk for long periods, reach, lift up to 50 lbs., operate hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Occasional travel, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
• Ability to maintain mental alertness for safe and accurate work.

• Exposure to temperatures ranging from –20°F to 400°F while handling products in freezers, coolers, and ovens.
• Temperature‑controlled store environment with occasional outdoor exposure.

Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
