Partner with the best
Explore opportunities in U.S. Federal Government civilian agencies, expanding customer relationships to drive growth. Maximize revenue by identifying opportunities and navigating sales cycles within these markets. Collaborate with internal teams to develop specialized solutions aligned with government strategies and procurement processes.
Responsibilities- Taking ownership of new business by showing value and selling enterprise cybersecurity solutions to new customers within U.S. Federal Government agencies
- Identifying, developing and closing new business with prospective Akamai customers through successful engagements, pursuing programs, and relationship building
- Delivering joint value proposition through in-person meetings, conference calls, sales activities, trainings and other events
- Being a trusted advisor to our customers and leading the integrated account team to deliver success
- Championing and maintaining trusted high-level relationships with customers and field teams through business understanding and knowledge
- Possess 5+ years of experience and a background in selling to U.S. Government agencies
- Have the desire and motivation to take your sales profession to the next level
- Possess experience selling enterprise-class technology, which may include cybersecurity solutions to public sector customers
- Show success in strategic greenfield sales and building long-term relationships with senior government officials, and federal prime contractors/partners
- Be familiar with U.S. Government acquisition standards and practices
- Excel in long-term impact environments prioritizing mission support, customer focus, security, and using proven, but creative sales and marketing practices

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For U.S. based candidates only - The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $157,900 - $328,100/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the U.S. will vary. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
