As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Team in Reston, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help deter security‑related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to staff, patients, and visitors.

Pay Rate: $18.60 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, supporting a secure environment within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report security‑related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to protocols.
• Collaborate with facility staff and emergency personnel as needed to address security‑related issues and maintain a cooperative atmosphere.
• Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entrances, verifying identification, and/or providing guidance to visitors and staff.
• Remain alert to surroundings and communicate any security‑related observations or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton certification preferred.
• CPR and/or first aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
