As a Security Officer - Media Patrol Unarmed in Reston, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security‑related incidents and create a secure atmosphere for all on site.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.75 / Hour

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Support access control procedures by observing and reporting on the flow of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Collaborate with site staff and/or visitors to address questions or concerns related to security‑related matters.
• Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Consideration of applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
