Sr. Software Engineer

Join KMM Technologies, Inc. as a Sr. Software Engineer located in Reston, VA. This is a 6+ month contract position with a competitive rate of $70/hr.

• Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software, including operating system architecture integration and application program development.
• Design, develop, test, and document critical and complex application programs for computer systems.
• Work with stakeholders to define system scope, objectives, and establish baselines.
• Establish project standards and processes; break down software requirements and create highly complex systems.
• Develop and analyze interface design documentation and provide direct technical support for high‑visibility applications.
• Mentor junior software engineers and contribute to product scoping, roadmap, and architecture discussions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, basic coding, compilation, software architecture/design, user requirements definition, and software specification development.
• Proficient in establishing and maintaining good working relationships, advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
• Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and test‑first practices including Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD).
• Advanced experience with Single Sign On, OAuth2, IBM Web Seal, and IBM Security Verify Governance integrations.
• Proficient with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and database technologies (cloud, SQL, Oracle, Mongo
  
  DB, Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Fundamental knowledge of software engineering best practices, SOAP and REST services.
• Strong experience in integrating complex and/or existing systems.
• Advanced knowledge of code quality and promotion practices.
