UI Developer

This is an ON-SITE position at our Reston, VA office

Apptium is looking to hire enthusiastic a UI Developer to help conceptualize, design and deliver extraordinary user experiences. You should possess exceptional user experience and interaction design skills, as well as an appreciation for visual design and design principles. While exercising a good eye for aesthetics, you must be able to grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, focused, understandable solutions.

We’re looking for a self-starter, self-motivated individual able to work independently and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.

• Create Web application front-end design and implementable code based on review of requirements and interaction with the UX designer, PM, key users and the development team.
• Develop functional and appealing Web and mobile applications based on usability concepts and industry best practices.
• Conduct usability testing to resolve interface issues.
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design issues.
• Review existing Web applications for UI and usability improvements and work with team to implement.
• Experience in building reusable and dynamic components / Frame work in Angular.
• Perform usability and quality testing of new applications as required.
• Enhance existing software to improve user interaction, efficiency, and quality.

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in UI development with Angular 8 and React.
• Proficient in Type Script, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
• AG-grid customization.
• Building theme based applications.
• Experience with PHP for backend integration.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jasmine, Jest, or Mocha.
• Strong understanding of version control systems, specifically GIT.
• Familiarity with JIRA for project management and issue tracking.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and effectively communicate with team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Good to have Go lang knowledge.
• Experience with additional front-end frameworks or libraries.
• Familiarity with UX principles and design tools.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
