Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivers mission‑critical applications for top‑tier enterprises worldwide. The Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization supports customer choice, transparency, and value when it comes to cloud infrastructure. We are embarking on ambitious initiatives, including building new innovative platforms, high‑performance data plane primitives, frameworks for OCI developers, and a new service platform that will run the full variety of OCI services.

We are looking for engineers to join an incubation team that initiates, prototypes, and hands off new projects with broad business impact in OCI. Our current incubation focuses on a new platform designed to power OCI services. This platform will include low‑level execution runtimes, application management, and high‑level workflows for change management. Your mission will be to enable OCI developers to build innovative services while ensuring those services operate efficiently at cloud scale.

We need you to challenge engineering assumptions, bring expertise in high‑performance, reliable software, and help us bring OCI to the next level.

We are seeking self‑motivated engineers passionate about solving complex software challenges, able to dive deep into systems, value simplicity and scale, and work comfortably in an agile environment.

Career Level – IC4

As a software engineer, you will collaborate with multiple teams to build the next generation OCI Service Platform. Your key responsibilities include:

• Design, specify, and develop software for new projects.
• Perform tasks related to the design, development, and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
• Define and improve standard practices and procedures.
• Deliver on the right things quickly and effectively to delight our customers.

• 6+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with software development, preferably in Java.
• Experience building and operating software as a service.
• Preferably, experience with OCI.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and scalable, reliable workflows is a plus.

US:
Hiring range in USD from $96,800 - $223,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
