Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead software product delivery and modernization initiatives. You will provide technical leadership and guide products through the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, and maintain engineering standards for quality, security, performance, and reliability.
• Own software products from requirements and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Develop scalable applications, solve complex technical issues, and use Agile and AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience , or graduate degree with at least 7 years of related experience .
• In lieu of a degree,
  13 years of relevant experience may be considered.
• Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Strong technical leadership, product ownership, software architecture, and system design experience.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle and in Agile environments.

Preferred Technical Skills

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Java and C++ development experience.
• Strong experience with Java Spring Boot and REST APIs .
• Multi-threaded application development, database design, and Linux development environments.
• CI/CD development and maintenance, including Jenkins .
• Containerized development and deployment;
  Docker and Kubernetes administration.
• Kubernetes, cloud/hybrid-cloud deployments, AWS Gov Cloud, or cloud-native development.
• Dev Sec Ops , automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Cybersecurity-aware development and distributed, enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience in DoD, SATCOM, networking, gateway, or telecommunications environments is highly preferred.
