Sr. SW Test Engineer; TS​/SCI w​/Poly

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support the modernization of a critical government information system. This is a hybrid opportunity supporting a federal program in Annapolis Junction, MD or Reston, VA
. The Senior Software Test Engineer will focus on UI testing, backend troubleshooting, test automation, and compliance validation across enterprise applications.

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, regression testing procedures, and defect management activities.
• Perform UI validation, cross-browser testing, accessibility testing, and Section 508/WCAG compliance verification.
• Review application and server logs to identify root causes of defects and troubleshoot system issues.
• Execute API testing and SQL-based database validation to ensure application functionality and data integrity.
• Develop automated UI testing frameworks and integrate testing processes into Git Lab CI/CD pipelines.

• 18+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Strong experience with functional, regression, UI, and cross-browser testing of web applications.
• Experience reviewing backend logs and troubleshooting application or system failures.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for database validation and data verification.
• Experience with system installation, configuration, and integration activities.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD environments.
• Strong technical documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred experience with Apache Tomcat, Oracle 19c, Solr, SAP Business Intelligence, Windows Server environments, RESTful API testing, and Git Lab CI/CD.

• $180,000 - $250,000 (depending on experience)
