Teacher Active is looking for caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants across the DN22 area to work within a range of supportive and welcoming schools

Our partner schools offer great facilities, positive learning environments and passionate teaching teams who are committed to providing every pupil with the support they need to thrive. You may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups or within the wider classroom
, depending on the needs of the school.
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Help pupils engage with classroom learning and activities
- Adapt support to meet individual learning needs
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour
- Support pupils with emotional and social development
- Work closely with teachers, SENDCOs and support staff
- Help create a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment
- Follow individual support plans and school procedures
- Maintain a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil well-being
- Experience supporting children or young people
- SEND experience and confidence supporting pupils with additional needs
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to remain calm and consistent when challenges arise
- A flexible and adaptable approach to supporting learningA positive attitude towards inclusion and pupil development
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
