Academics is recruiting enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Retford on an ad-hoc, short-term and temporary basis from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience across a variety of school settings while making a positive difference to pupils' learning and development.

• Competitive pay of £92.56 to £95.00 per day (inclusive of holiday pay), dependent upon experience, qualifications, training and client pay rate available.
• Paid weekly through PAYE.
• Typical working hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm.

• Support teachers with classroom management and pupil engagement.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Assist pupils with their learning and development.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Adapt confidently to different primary school settings.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.

• Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting is desirable.
• A CACHE or NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is preferred but not essential.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
• Flexibility to work across different primary schools in and around Retford.
• A commitment to safeguarding and completing annual safeguarding training.
• The right to work in the UK.
