Position: PMLD Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: Variety of specialist schools across Retford
Pay Rate: £92.56 - £110 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)
Higher rate dependent upon experience, training, qualifications, and client rate available.
Academics is looking for a compassionate and resilient PMLD Specialist Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality care and educational support to pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties across Retford's specialist provisions.
What You'll Do:- Deliver personalised, sensory-based support (e.g., hydrotherapy, rebound therapy, and Makaton)
- Assist with complex personal care, moving & handling, and feeding routines with dignity
- Collaborate with therapists and teachers to implement EHCP targets and multi-sensory learning plans

- Minimum Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent (or relevant health/care background)
- Proven experience supporting individuals with PMLD, complex needs, or physical disabilities
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
