About

The Role

As the HSEQ Manager, you will be the strategic lead for all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality activities on site. Responsible for shaping and maintaining our management systems, you will ensure we meet and exceed legal, regulatory, certification, customer and internal requirements. You’ll collaborate with operational, technical and commercial stakeholders, and champion a culture where quality and safety are embedded in everything we do.

This is a high-impact, site-based role at the heart of our operational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop and continuously enhance HSEQ management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Establish and maintain quality standards, procedures and specifications
  • Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and met
  • Work with Supply Chain to define quality expectations for external suppliers
  • Oversee QC, Materials Testing and Product Testing teams and laboratory operations
  • Manage documentation controls and reporting, including statistical data and performance metrics
  • Lead investigations into NCRs, incident trends, process variation and customer concerns
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using recognised methodologies
  • Provide coaching, training and leadership to the HSEQ team and wider workforce
  • Act as the primary contact for regulators, auditors and external authorities
  • Lead environmental initiatives relating to waste, emissions, sustainability and energy
  • Promote a positive, proactive safety and quality culture across all levels of the business
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programmes
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality, HSE or combined HSEQ leadership role
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, or Health & Safety
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Demonstrable people leadership and team development experience
  • Proven auditing experience (internal and external)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt (desirable)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (desirable)
  • Extensive understanding of risk management, SPC and DoE principles
  • Confident, influential communicator able to challenge and support at all levels
  • Decisive and capable in high‑risk or time‑critical situations

Working Environment and Travel
  • Site-based role with some travel across local facilities
  • Occasional global travel may be required
  • Some out-of-hours availability needed due to 24/7 operations
