Admitting Clerk (RPT)

Madisonhealth is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admitting Clerk to complete admission information in the Cerner Patient Accounting System. The incumbent will maintain a high level of accuracy while pre‑certifying appropriate hospital admissions, verifying patient eligibility using available insurance carrier data, and pre‑admitting all patients scheduled on the hospital scheduling system.

Additional responsibilities may include:

• Keeping recurring and off‑site files current
• Working discharge disposition reports
• Assisting with interviewing and training
• Completing inpatient insurance authorization

• Monday‑Thursday 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm
• Every other weekend, including Sundays, and rotating holidays

• Previous Admitting/PBX experience (preferred)
• Previous Cerner experience

• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally
• Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Publisher/PowerPoint, etc.)
